The Cool Spot

The shallow creeks that feed the Delaware watershed ebb and flow with the weather and the seasons. I choose a lovely glade on a hot July afternoon for this painting, which captures the cool shades of summer shade and the sparkle of running water. It was the coolest spot I could find on that very hot day.
