The Sream - Solstice Morning

One morning, I was stunned by the light in a narrow ravine near where as I live as the sun rose over a steep ridgeline and filled the space with color. It was a brief break in an otherwise nearly monotone landscape and struck me forcefully with feelings of joy and awe. This painting is my attempt to share those warm feelings.
