This was the view south on the backcountry road n rural Bucks County, PA, on which I lived for 30 years. I painted this little piece late in the afternoon in October, as the sun rode low across the sky, streaming through the leaves remaining on the trees in shallow-angled crepuscular rays. I walked my dogs on that section of road many hundreds of times but never tired of the myriad weather and lighting conditions I found.
