Fall Tapestry

Only a few leaves were still clinging stubbornly to the red maple in my front yard when I painted Fall Tapestry. The title has to do with the rich textures and tones of the season, which always reminds me of a piece of complex needlework. I remain completely delighted by the curling, multicolored leaves and the soft puff of the squirrel's equally curled tail!
