Zinnias are wonderfully challenging flowers to paint------but blessedly easy to grow! My summer garden is always filled with different types of zinnias, and I look forward each year to trying to do justice to their complexity of form and intensity of color. Fireworks is one of my all-time favorite zinnia paintings because it captures their exuberant delight in sun, heat and summer!
