High School Park - July
![]() |
In July, the park—until the 1990’s the location of Cheltenham High School—where we take our dogs nearly every day for a romp is a glorious tapestry of pink monarda and bright yellow tickseed coreopsis, two of the many native plants that fill the park’s central meadow. While painting the scene I wanted to depict the shimmering vibrancy of the meadow in full bloom set against the cool tones of the mature shade trees with which it is surrounded.
