Solebury July

Solebury Township, Bucks County, has kept the rural/pastoral quality most of Bucks had when I was growing up in the small town of Washington Crossing. This painting depicts a small corner of Solebury, along Cuttalosa Road, where someone had taken the trouble to hang a flag out in honor of the 4th of July. The road itself is narrow, barely qualifies as "paved" and encourages drivers to slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet that surrounds them.
